Microneedling is a cutting-edge skincare technology used to stimulate skin’s collagen and elastin production. Microneedling corrects acne scars, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, pore size and sagging skin.
What is Microneedling with PRP?
We are proud to offer our clients one of the most popular and effective skincare procedures around! Sometimes known as the Vampire Facial, this specialized brand of microneedling helps patients to achieve smoother, tighter, more youthful, rejuvenated skin. The procedure is minimally-invasive and combines two of the most effective method of facial rejuvenation available today – microneedling and the use of PRP technology.
We are able to first open up the skin and the pores using microneedling, to create microchannels and we then spread the PRP solution over the skin, and into the microchannels in the skin. The procedure is able to a variety of important tasks and benefit the skin in a number of different ways. The most prominent of which is stimulating the production of vital skincare proteins known as collagen and elastin.
Stimulate Collagen & Elastin Production
As we age, our skin becomes depleted of vital skincare proteins known as collagen and elastin. These proteins are important to giving our skin its soft, supple, elastic texture, and vibrant, youthful glow. In addition, they act as an integral part of the skin’s regenerative mechanisms, ensuring our skin can fight environmental damage and ‘bounce back’ any damage, trauma or even stretching.
How Does the PRP Microneedling Work?
PRP Microneedling is a highly effective method of facial rejuvenation that combines aspects of skincare into one highly restorative procedure. As with all Vampire procedures, we begin by drawing blood from the patient, and using a centrifuge, separate out the platelet rich plasma solution, and all of the stem cell growth factors it contains. Then, the patient’s skin is prepped, and a microneedling procedure is performed.
Microneedling begins using a pen-like device, to create a series of micro-punctures within the skin’s surface, along the treatment area. Doing this, we are able to stimulate the body’s naturally restorative healing mechanisms, to rejuvenate and replace the skin tissue, with new, fresh skin tissue.
Once the microneedling is done, we gently spread the PRP solution over the skin’s surface, and slowly, the solution will enter into the microchannels created by the microneedling procedure. This exponentially improves the effects of microneedling and adds the benefits of PRP and the growth factors. This means better circulation, tissue oxygenation, cellular turnover, the development of new skin tissue, the development of new blood vessels to the area, and much more!
